The Year 2002
February 2002

This was the first Derbyshire Cuba Network visit to Cuba and we visited Havana then Camagüey and then returned to Havana.
We established personal links which built confidence all round that was a basis for further developments.
June 2002

One achievement during the June visit by Mrs Moz Greenshields and Councillor Robin Turner was the signing of the Letter of Intention to develop education and friendship links. Picture shows (L to R) the Mayor of the City of Derby - Councillor Robin Turner - and the President of the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power of Camagüey - Luis Ynchausti - just after the signing.
